“Batu Feringghi, one of the most popular destinations in Asia and home of the first Hard Rock Hotel in Penang, is characterized by its miles of white sandy beaches and swaying palm trees. Situated on the northwest peninsula of Malaysia, Batu Feringghi, often hailed as the “Pearl of the Orient,” is just a 45 minute drive from Penang’s international airport and 30 minutes from historic Georgetown” – Hard Rock Hotel, Penang’s website
I could not have said it better myself, of Batu Feringghi, the are in Penang where Hard Rock Hotel, Penang is located at. Anergy had the privilege of hosting a team building event for our client at the hotel. In just about 3 hours, we found ourselves from Changi Aiport Singapore and through the streets of Penang and arriving in front of the towering signature Peavey guitar, a classic Hard Rock symbol adorning the entrance of the hotel.
The hotel exudes a rock ‘n’ roll charm that is uniquely Hard Rock, every corner you turn might find you facing music legends and their memorabilia. Thoughtful to make this truly a rockin’ experience, their hotel rooms are fun to stay in with surprises from their amenities and music legend posters! This experience extends even to corporate meetings, and whether you’re planning a serious work conference, or a relaxing team bonding retreat, Hard Rock Hotel is a place to consider, with 3 meeting rooms, a non-conventional ballroom and a dedicated team of meeting planners on hand to make sure your stay and meeting receive Rock Star treatment and have everyone else talking about it after it’s ended.
Team building activities, both indoors and outdoors, fit easily within the venue, as we did our Synergy Race program within the entire resort, spanning from the beach located just outside of the hotel, to various indoor and outdoor spots. The next time we get there, we could incorporate a little sight-seeing element in our team building programs around Batu Ferringhi. During our breaks, our team ventured nearby and found the popular “night market” attracting local and tourists alike with their local wares, and food stuffs.
Our team enjoyed our time there with our clients and soaking in the idyllic atmosphere of Penang, and a few extra bowls of Penang laksa and prawn wee wouldn’t hurt either!
Hard Rock Hotel, Penang is an excellent hotel for your team building needs, if you can’t wait to be treated like a Rock Star.
